When you hear the word “godfather,” you probably conjure up thoughts of Marlon Brando and Al Pacino in the mob flick, The Godfather. Along with images of Don Corleone getting shot in an assassination attempt, I also see the images of another Godfather, the real “Godfather of Fitness” — Jack LaLanne!

Some of you may think the father of fitness is none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

He, no doubt, brought body building to the world and changed this nation. But steroids made Arnold who he is.

If synthetic hormone technology hadn’t existed, neither would Arnold, nor Lou Ferrigno, nor Franco Columbo.

The real-deal Godfather of Fitness is Jack LaLanne. From an unhealthy boy addicted to sugar to a vibrant fitness guru and chiropractor, Jack was the man!

As an American fitness, nutrition and exercise expert, as well as a celebrity and motivational speaker, Jack LaLanne brought us the importance of a therapeutic lifestyle.
